Queensgate SKYCITY Cinema

In conjunction with Wellington-based company Armstrong Downs, Amstar created the interiors of SKYCITY's cinema complex at Westfield's Queengate Mall in Lower Hutt.

Amstar was commissioned to carry out this project based on the strength of previous cinema-complex work completed in Auckland.

Designed by Walker Architects, the fitout demanded a variety of skills from Amstar. These ranged from building precision dome ceilings within larger recessed ceilings, to construction double-height jarrah walls round the lifts and cinema entries.
